Overview

The academic module covers the complete academic lifecycle — from timetable and lesson planning through exams, marks entry, and report card generation.

Subjects

Manage subjects at Academics > Subjects:

Create subjects with name and code
Map subjects to classes via Class-Subject relationships
Assign teachers to class-subjects

Timetable

The timetable module provides a period-wise grid view:

Define periods (start time, end time, break periods)
Assign subjects and teachers to slots
Class-wise and teacher-wise views
Conflict detection (teacher double-booking)

Exams

Create and manage examinations at Academics > Exams:

Exam Types: Unit Test, Mid-Term, Final, etc.
Exam Creation: Name, type, class, start/end dates
Marks Entry: Bulk marks entry per subject per class
Grade Computation: Automatic based on grading scheme

Marks Entry

Navigate to Exams > [Exam] > Marks:

Select the subject
See all students in the class
Enter marks in bulk (spreadsheet-style)
Save — grades computed automatically

Report Cards

Generate report cards at Academics > Report Cards:

Pulls marks from all exams in the academic year
Computes grades based on grading scheme (percentage, GPA, letter)
Subject-wise breakdown with teacher remarks
PDF generation for printing/distribution

Assignments

Teachers can create and track assignments:

Title, description, subject, class, due date
Attachment support
Student submission tracking
Grading and feedback

Lesson Plans

Teachers can create lesson plans:

Topic, objectives, methodology
Linked to subject and class
Date-wise planning
Resource attachments
